Jelle Klaasen, Jamie Caven, Andy Hamilton and Steve Brown are all busy this week preparing for the forthcoming World Championships being held at Alexandra Palace. The tournament which is being held from December 15th until the 2nd January is being shown live on SKY Sports 1 and SKY Sports HD. Sponsored by Ladbrokes and offering a million pounds worth of prize money, it is the biggest Darts extravaganza on the planet.Jamie plays Roland Scholten in the opening game of the tournament which starts on the 15th. Former BDO World Champion Jelle Klaasen will play the dangerous Peter Wright on Saturday the 17th whilst Andy Hamilton plays the rapidly improving Spaniard Antonio Alcino on the 19th. Finally the last of the 4 JBD Sports players Steve Brown begins his campaign on the 21st. Brown who is coming off a sensational win against potential Premier League player Paul Nicholson in this week’s Players Championship being held in Doncaster, will play the winner of the Devon Pederson and Jose de Sosa qualifier in the last game of Wednesday evening.The event which will be attended by over 120,000 people over the two weeks is the hottest ticket in town.
